The Laurel Street Fair Festival takes place every year in Oakland and is a celebration of music, cuisine, and art. All the money raised during the festival gets put right back into the community. Guests can enjoy live musical performances and eat from one of the many food vendors. Oakland is also home to a yearly Oktoberfest event. Along with a lengthy drink menu and food vendors, attendees can enjoy live performances from a San Francisco German band. 
 
Lake Merritt is a jewel in Oakland and where everyone goes to spend a day on the water enjoying the beautiful California weather. It also has a jogging trail, playground for children, and boating center. At Joaquin Miller Park, visitors can enjoy picnic areas, walking trails, and even run into some wildlife. The park is a beautiful place for weddings and has all the accommodations for making your special day perfect.
 
The Oakland Zoo will keep children and adults captivated for the entire day. Baseball fans enjoy the live games at Oakland Athletics. In this city, there is no shortage of fun and excitement!
